Of course, Dave is referring to actual spam, not the commercial messages legitimately sent by companies or the accidental repeat messages sent by upper echelon tech gurus that want all of us to read their latest musings. Real spam has no human origin other than the initial programming of a “script” and then running that program, sometimes for several days, until it completes the task–bombing every user with a message.
