somehow the techsterati have made ditching last month’s hottest killer app as cool as getting the beta invite. we brag about how awesome it is to have the world’s information at our fingertips but whine when we’re overcome by its volume (even if we have control over its flow!). cool has gone from “able to handle everything” to “declaring ‘friend’/email/information/rss bankruptcy” only to start the pattern over again with the next killer app. in our culture’s quest for living life to its hedonistic potential, we have forgotten the sensibility of moderation. rediculous. killing ourselves with “life”.
