sigh, Twitter.

There’s really no browsing feature on Twitter, so finding new people, to the uninvolved casual internet user, doesn’t happen as eaily as I try explaining, “You just do.” So, aside from loading GMail contacts, which these people don’t have, how do you find people on Twitter?

I frankly don’t get much pleasure out of Twitter (I use it to update my Facebook status, mainly), and have a hard time selling other people on it. It’s just now we’re trying to use it for work, and I’m at a loss for how to really use the service.

I think it totally depends on what is it you’re trying to update people about on a constant basis. I really enjoy the twitters I follow of a. people I actually know (duh) who maybe I dont’ see all the time and b. interesting celebrity types i.e. Tina Fey. I know she maybe is just having some PA do her twittering for her but I’d like to think not and I like that. So if you have a fun personality or something that people really connect with on a personal level, but some how relates to your work, then maybe twitter could be cool. What I hate on twitter is when people I’ve never heard of follow me and then it ends of being an advertisement. Please, do not attack me with your ads! :-P
