that Twitter jokes aren’t funny?

It’s like when my mom found out what Myspace was and would try to casually drop it into convos in an attempt to be “hip” and “down”. 

Guys, we know you’re middle aged. 
We know your career is borderline obsolete and as a result you feel like a mastadon or cro-magnon slowly freezing inside of an ice block with everyone watching.

It’s awkward, I agree — but trying to make yourself fit in is never the answer. 

Either acknowledge that the culture is beyond you and you’re intimidated or shut up.

Like, saying “Oh, hold on… maybe I’ll tweet about this!!!!!!!” wasn’t funny the first time I heard it, so it’s especially not fucking funny now that it’s a few months after the fact. 

Seriously, who is writing for you?
